Burgandy WilliamsBurgandy Williams is an Atlanta native from a long line of singers. Her grandfather James Williams was the lead singer of “The Gospel Hummoniers”, her father Kenneth Williams SR. was the lead singer of “Atlanta’s Own”, an R&B group in the early 80’s. She attended the prestigious North Atlanta High School of Performing Arts, where her formal training began. From there she began vocal lessons with renown opera singer, Alteouise Austin at Morris Brown College. Burgandy’s talents reach from the sound stage to the main stage in singing and acting. She has sung for foreign consulates in Paris, Korea and in Kuwait. She has had feature roles in “The King of Glory” at the Atlanta Civic Center, the ground breaking production of “Jesus Christ Super Star Gospel” at the Alliance Theater and in “The Martin Luther King Jr’s Monumental Memories at Constitution Hall in Washington DC. Burgandy has opened for “Babyface” in concert, also at the Civic Center in Atlanta. After a very competitive run on the UK's smash hit X FACTOR Burgandy returned to the US and is now taking over stages all around NYC. She regularly sings on the legendary stages of Cafe Wha, Apollo Theater and appears regularly along side legendary artists at Ashford & Simpson's Sugar Bar. She is now in pursuit of the Broadway stage. Be sure to follow this rising star!
